Wonderful imagery John, the flow and rhythm is enough to make me want to twirl and whirl with everything else that's dancing to life's music. Kind regards, Justine

Beauty is everywhere, in every simple thing... A poem to read again and again, and so I will. Thank you, John. You have a gift.

dance? a candle flame courting faint breeze to and fro to and fro slender shadows the autumn leaf twists, twists on a twig eve of separation lovers refusing each other go red and brown maple swirl in unison beat their last drum then let themselves free from hangers trail the I really like this poem

The whole world is moving in bliss, if we just stop what we are doing and pay atention. I would suggest not reusing the title in the first line, and just heading into the image of the candle. Also, dropp the quesiton mark, . In a poem, a thig is what the poem says a thing is - you don't need to ask permission! This does what good poems are supposed to do - make us see.
