The final simile is the dominant image and the heart of the matter. The leading similes may be overstating the obvious. By the time the reader gets to the impact image, he is drowning in a saucer of images when he should be sipping the succulence of your final image and feeling the hug in the simplicity of the cup of tea -
So also kissing her lips means is like sipping a cup of tea....wonderful that a person can be allured over a cup of tea....provided that the tea should be tastily prepared...inspiring poem
