A Cry Of Anguish Poem by Richard Wlodarski

A Cry Of Anguish

Rating: 4.3

I no longer
Have such once faith
My eyes blinded
By devil's light

I no longer
See the sparking
In the lightning
Of believing

I no longer
Hear the roar
Of such thunder
Of great power

I no longer
Able to touch
The face of love
In dance of life

I no longer
Feel passion
For labour done
For goals propelled

Your sorrow is powerfully yet beautifully expressed! .. Guess we need to write through/express the sorrow, to once again find the warmth of the mornings light! .. May Gods love always shine upon you! ..

Rebecca, the poem is about Thomas Merton's anguish. I am feeling some of that lately because of the politics that are happening on this site. Thank you so much for your gesture.

You have held such beautiful faith! .. May faith, love and light find your heart and lead you again! ..
