It's a interesting and so enjoyable poem.. Just love it... Thank you dear poet.. Please accept my love.. Thank you
This poem is clearly an allegory with the birds symbolizing poets with very different feathers, or rather, poems. It appears the Crow, the popular and prolific poet, is Bodsky who was exiled from his native land and became an American citizen. I wish I could have met him but he never visited Minnesota. I would have extended to him a BIG WELCOME. The Dove, not popular like the Crow, is a religious poet who is imprisoned. Both both poets died relatively young. I was really saddened to hear of Brodsky's death. Once a month he published either po- etry or prose in the NEW YORKER magazine and I always read his contributions. Your poem gives both men honor and praise for what they did so faithfully and eloquently.
