I love the reversals in your syntax. Adds depth and increases pondering. I can relate to such an experience - not knowing the relationship you have with someone, cherishing it but also skeptical. So many things in life cannot be defined nor grasped. They are abstract. And that makes them beautiful mysteries. Thank you.
