Why does everyone look so sad?
Our freedoms we do lack.
Watching the door each day,
Like dogs without any say.
We can't go out to dine any more,
The restaurants are closed after all.
Mahjon, do you want to play?
None of your friends can come your way.
You watch TV to wave boredom goodbye,
But so tired are your poor eyes.
So monotonous life's becoming,
No one knows when the misery's ending.
My daughter's and my son's families
Still have their jobs thankfully;
It's morning, and it's dusk -
Until one day one turns into dust!
A COVID-19 Song:
O, Come and sing along!
No need to immerse oneself in sorrow,
Let's all hope for a brighter tomorrow!
