In shadows cast by vows now torn
A young man weeps, a heart forlorn
Divorce's bitter
A biting chill
Society's gaze, a judgment shrill
Family, once a comforting shore
Now distant, judging evermore
Stereotypes, a cruel mask they wear
No understanding, just cold stares
He gave his heart, a treasure true
Yet, love unreturned, a painful view
In the mirror of indifference, he stands
Alone first, then through indifferent lands
She sided not with love's embrace
But danced with foes
a cold charade Muddying waters once clear and bright
She turned away from love's pure light
Betrayed by whispers, none know his truth
Emotionally drained, the toll of youth
Physically weary, spiritually worn
In solitude, a heart is torn
He sought to honour vows divine
To do right by her, the church's shrine
Yet pain revealed a truth untold
A tale of love that had grown cold
In choosing self, a lone decree
For in the end, alone we'll be
To mend the wounds, to heal the pain
To find oneself and love regain.
