A Cocktail Of Destruction, Poem by Noel Potter

A Cocktail Of Destruction,

A cocktail of destruction, a path I walked along.
Each pill swallowed, each hit taken,
A temporary escape from the pain I've been fighting,

But now I see the damage done,
The lives shattered, the battles never won.
I carry the weight of my mistakes,
The guilt heavy on my chest.
I long for way to go back,

To the morning I made the decision,
That took away my everything in life,
To break free from this cycle of unrest.
So I sit in silence, reflecting on my past,

Hoping for forgiveness, a chance to start anew.
Guilt consumes me, but I refuse to let it last,
For I know deep down, there's still good in me too.
