A Clown Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

A Clown

I've been under your town.
You see me in your dreams.
If you think I'm just in your head
Well then close your eyes and see.

I'm every nightmare you've ever had
and your worst dreams come true.
Just when you think all is safe again
That's when I'll be back for you.

Tasty tasty beautiful fear.
Why don't you take this balloon here?
Then will you be my friend?
You're about to watch the horror begin.

Float around now
You didn't have to be so cruel.
I see you're a little afraid now
of the eater of the worlds.

You're just a foolish soul.
Hush now don't make a sound.
You should've stayed away from strangers.
You can never trust a clown.
