The seeds of dreamtime dwell in the centre of a child's spirituality,
Natural wisdom's mindful appreciation of the present moment
Presents to their logic, angels can sing and teddy bears can talk,
Mummy will never leave and Pinocchio can walk,

You really tapped into your inner child for this poem.....beautifully expressed & expertly written. As the scripture says: train up a child in the way they should go & when they are old they will not depart from it
i must say this poem is just on point and the use of words is skilful.keep it up Ken
This is a pearl of a poem, a jewel, a bright diamond. Getting in a child's world of dreams and how we are each hit out of it. With seeds of spirituality planted at this very young age, chances are big we will enjoy them as wonderful teenagers. It is not 100% in our hands. Sometimes the seeds are there and are given no space to grow, But they do not die and with some patience they may blossom at a later time into fantastic flower trees.
The poet is a really concern about his next generation and i can feel his frustration with current trend of life where's the benevolence less valuable than material. I read the intention, hope and commitment of the poet through this poem and the sincerity of his intention was well written.10+
dear ken.....this is exactly how my boy and girl have grown up.this lovely poem took me years back when we taught them values in life, now bearing fruits.i am not a grand mom yet, but would like to relive those moments.thanks for bringing old memories back! ritty
Has bit of a swing to it which I like, or maybe I am just thinking of children and their swings. Good balance and contrast. Certainly covers a lot about growing up in those early days. That last line leaves me thinking.
One of the Best Poems I have read in a while (Which was not self penned) No I liked it a Lot, I liked the style I liked its form, where it came from and where it went.I shall go there again when I get a moment. Meanwhile read the odd one of mine. try ' Bringing up Baby' a tribute sent to an Aussie New First Mum of 40......I love Critic Good or Bad. Kind Regards Philip
''The core of their being formed with parental guidance and love. With an inner kindness and respect soul stamped from above The seeds of spirituality have grown thru their veins, Now the world is their oyster for to take charge of the reigns.'' excellent abstract poem, thank you for sharing.................10+++
The seeds of spirituality have grown thru their veins, Now the world is their oyster for to take charge of the reigns. children are supposed to take reignfrom us so it goes on and goes on.. so beautifuluu inter wovern with words..very good art poem and i liked it...10 read mine child, schiil..no techer please and hen laid eggs
This is a very informative poem - it shows great insight into the intellectual, social and spiritual development of Children. I have three Children (49,47,43) and eight Grandchildren (25,23,23,16,15,14,13,11) all of whom are developing spiritually. All Humans are made in the image of God and the Bible says that 'God has given to every Human a measure of Faith'. The final four verses amplify this and the importance of parental guidelines: The core of their being formed with parental guidence and love With an inner kindness and respect soul stamped from above The seeds of spirituallity have grown thru their veins Now the world is their oyster for to take charge of the reins. Best wishes - nice poem JOHN KNIGHT (UK) .
The first few words of this just grabbed me Ken- -' The seeds of dreamtime dwell in the centre of a child's spirituality ' - - how true that is.... and described so well here... warm and honest verse.....10 from Fay.
Great rhythm and rhyme Ken. The saying 'give me a child until he/she is seven' is well used in your poem. These days there is more emphasis on the parent guiding their children with spirituality, as in our country, unless sent to a religious school, morals and spirituality are not taught in schools. Your words are wonderfully expressed and I thoroughly enjoyed reading your insight of a childs centre of spirituality. 10 love Karin
Amazingly, the children blossom in both - spirituality and cognitive faculties. You've put it very lucidly. Very well penned.
so true...........so clear.........so difficult to fathom, yet this is what they are and become over a period of time..........I have two daugters 7 and 11, so I have two shades of your poem already in my house..... hope you dont mind reading my poem called The little painter and Long live the ice cream..........
To the pearls of wisdom, pearl of a great poet.
