it is indeed a thought provoking piece Mr walker, and the painful part is though you have now gained strength courage and valiance, it is a route that you will never walk and fix again no wonder the scars remain with flash. Thanks for challenging my thoughts, i like the poem.

Absolutely LOVE this one! Opening line had me hooked. Vivid metaphors of scars and dreams. The tone is set early on for the sobering truth revealed in the last stanza.

Yes. We all have to shun domestic violence and the corporal punishment meted out to a child is heinous and the scar will ne'er vanish! !
