A profound write, full of intense emotions and brevity. A masterpiece of Emily Dickinson.
A typical ED Poem, oft a brevity. All with Dashes inbetween, but I must admit This Is a Classic Poem Of The Day. CONGRATULATIONS for the family of the late great classic poetess. True great, and Classic through and through. That´s EMILY DICKINSON in full person. May she rest in peace.
A poignant, concise meditation on the subject of image/ appearance.
A Charm invests a face Imperfectly beheld— The Lady dare not lift her Veil For fear it be dispelled—/// greatly express
That image! ! ! A Lady dare not to lift her Veil. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
A charm invests a face... how brevity works for poetry when the words left unsaid can be so eloquent, A brilliant exposition of this
To much hidden symbols I need the back story to understand this mystery of a poem.
A Charm invests a face Imperfectly beheld— The Lady dare not lift her Veil For fear it be dispelled— One needs a secured and comforting relation to open up, to lift all those veils. Thanks poet.
So she will not lift her veil for any one else other than her own man of the precious moment....Emily's another good poem- 10
........this poem gives me the imagery of the bridal veil....and the bride not lifting it until time for the kiss..
hmm...i guess.. when she wrote this poem, she looked in the mirror, and admired her own face. but she's afraid to get old and lose her charm. haha...
A poem of great depth in just minimal lines.
