A Certain Poem Comments

I like your generosity in praising a poem that moved you. You didn't quote any of it, but your words expressed its essence in the image of perfume. perfume being an invisible but enveloping and unmistakable experience, hard to define but easy to recognize. All of these traits of the aroma apply to the elusive excellence of a winning poem. (I think it's very important that those of us who write and post our poems also read published poets to keep the tradition healthy. If WE don't read poetry, who else will be so motivated?)
