Rising from the willows come little bird cries;
their mother is gone off and away up in the sky.
They think they're forgotten and all alone;
to scratch out survival and shrink to the bone.
But she shall come back, you will see!
She's out looking for worms where the grass is dewey.
She hasn't forgotten, not ever, not once;
she'll be coming back with morsels to munch!
So when she's away have no fear;
soon she'll be back, soon she'll be near!
What a beautiful poem depicting the enduring love of a mother.A great read for all ages specially children. To my favorites and top marks!
Liked how you crafted this poem with a wonderful story. So brilliantly presented.
An absolutely beautiful poem! No love is like mother's love.She protects and cares her offspring in all thick and thin.
