Very interesting, fascinating, intriguing. On the one hand God says, 'the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly....' and on the other, He specifically says, 'the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.' Therefore I hear the initial analysis of the heart being like a candle, and yet you have presented it seemingly with something of a purity which I do not believe it has. This is quite the contemplation, and I enjoyed your point about it being not exactly something we can put a finger on, so to speak, for the pumping organ has not the responsibility to which we are herein alluding. Again very fascinating. I rather enjoyed it.
