It really made me teary. Your delineation is so moving that I couldn't help thinking that such a tiny creature has also emotions and hopes. But who cares for tiny voices in this world of might. Very strong feeling. Excellent stuff.

a canary is so small but picture a a strong creature living in this world. Fighting his own existence and survival. This is beautiful work.

Flying off all alone, His heart torn in two. To an empty home, Feeling lonely and blue. Really horrible the state of mind you have pictured by words. Shocking is the right word. Juan, after reading this poem I noticed a wetness in my eyes and it really takes some doing for that. I kept looking for a happy ending, but it never came. A great write by a great poet. Your friend, Lynn.
