A Canal Town Poem by james watkin

A Canal Town

A canal town. Gold lamped or
Gilded windowed more
What of itself, magic nights
Is thrown out, unreal delights
For a dream image.

Its duck, swan, pretty daubed boat
Leaf, more, afloat
As fond held one's heart in, days
Centre of each focus is.
Their's, in chat engage!
