A Call To Metanoia Poem by Richmon Rey Jundis

A Call To Metanoia

My soul drifts in the shadows
Of fear and sin that blind me,
Far from the truth and love I need,
Searching for light
As the darkness of death pursues me.

But I have heard God calling my name
And I answered Him
Though I am full of doubts and shame,
For who am I to follow Him.

Now, my eyes are open to the Truth
As I walk faithfully on Jesus' Way
That leads me to eternal life
For I am transformed by His love and grace.

The way that I am walking now
Is not paved with milk and honey
But of sharp thorns and splinters
But I am not afraid to show my tears
Like St. Paul who boasted his weakness
For through these Jesus has a chance
To fill-up my empty spaces.

So am I, here in this seedbed of mercy
Called to be transformed daily
As I walk on this Way of Truth
Until I reach eternal life.
