Butterflies, a butterfly day, a passing reflection in mirrored waters, make this poem divine. To really notice nature as you have, means you understand we are part of it, so we should cherish and care for all we see. Thank you Ben.

You have a unique vision, I really like the way you make the typography as part of the poem. my favorite images are: '................searching over the waters ..................for reflections of the sky' and 'The rainbow no longer abides. .......................Yet its colors are ...........................spilling still ....................on the window sill ..................from flower to flower' What a beauty! there was only 1 line I wasn't sure of, ' found some algae in my aqua today.' I am almost sure but I have never heard this expression, Is aqua an aquarium? that's all I could think of.

Just my sort of day Ben. We were given butterfly kisses as children, and my mother came back as a butterfly three times and help resolve a family crisis. It was a Monarch butterfly. So your poem is magic to me, and I am fluttering along with every word. Top marks for such a beautiful poem.! Karin Anderson

You say it is a butterfly day… just as in the case of a butterfly you are unable to define the color of the day…you find the rainbow disappear but the colors you find reflect on the flowers near the window sill.. These lines remind me of Wordsworth’s daffodils and Longfellow’s arrow...his song… Again the watery green algae…the colorful bees and dark bees…the poetic painter’s mind is the sky where all these colors reflect together and pass by… Beautiful imageries through out…well…a classic poem this to say in brief …ten colors

Magnificent scene painting! I wish I'd been there. The language is as free as the butterflies and dragonflies that came to visit.

'and didn’t know whether to be happy or sad...as if only passing by...searching over the waters for reflections of the sky' - What is it Mr. Sky that you hide in the colors of the sunshine? ~ Loved it! Beautiful. Thanks!

This has an e e cummings feel - fey and quirky with a robust, sweetly scented soul. I love it. Allie xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A unique and treasured moment captured with delicate artistry. I am intrigued by your use of occasional rhyme. Line ends match when you want them to, otherwise they go their own way.
