brilliant poem. Among all the logics, logic of love is strong and watertight., airtight. It fades as you said. Mind will move to higher pedestal of general genus logic and apply it to specie logic of love.

Love can be for ever or love can only stay for a season...depends what one believes or has experienced! Wonderful poem!

The age old story, beautifully crafted. What even seems the truest does not last And when the grief dies we remember the good times Life is so short even these fleeting loves can be

You have made comparison of love with seasons. Well, it may be for some but not all. Love should be unconditional not based on promises. Any relationship based only on extracted promises is not love,

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. And opinions about love are probably based on one's experiences.

congrats on being poet of the day, Barry. This poem is so refreshingly different; for a change, someone dares to go against the notion that true love is forever...

Although we love illusions, reality is something that comes out at some point... Promises in love are often just plain exaggerations... A finely written one.. Thank you..

Well done, Barry. I like the way you put three limericks together, so to speak, to formulate this poem. Wes Vogler would be proud. Congratulations on having it selected as Poem of the Day!

I would like to disagree with this pristine poem's unfortunate conclusion. But it seems hard to do.

It is the natural cycle of life, but luckily as spring comes again then love can live once and twice.

People find reasons and vanish with seasons... Truth well encapsulated in this beautiful poem. Nothing lasts seasons nor reasons. My compliments

A brilliant poem on fading love as with passing seasons, a candid but true view remarkably expressed in these lines.

A realistic view of love. Feelings n emotions are as much mortal as human life. Time brings change in everything, nothing remains the same. Well articulated wisdom.
