This is true history...an amazing verse, LeeAnn. I sense the irony in " Dear Mr. Trump" . There may be a great work in those words....

Great indictment of the whole rotten system! , with over 600 years the progress has been slow and intermittent. There are still people who cannot see that the system is corrupt or that it still castigates entire groups of people. A powerful tome, but for me Trump is the symptom not that cause, the cause are the people who vote for him.

An excellent well thought out poem on the plague of racism. With all due respect, Lee Ann, the last 3 lines seem to be out of character with the rest of the poem. Although I'm in total agreement with you, I respectfully suggest that you revise those emotionally charged lines. I believe that that will make the poem even better than it already is. Just a thought.
