Dear C.R. Clark: Thanks for reading my poem, The Season Of Christ's Loving. Loved this one. Wonderfully written. Sorry so long to reply, but I'm still trying to navigate properly. Will read more, now that I found you. Plus, I have been really sick. Love, Janice Herzog xoxo
Well, being a feeder of wild birds and hummingbirds myself, I can well relate to this fine poem, Richard. Hummingbirds are perhaps the most fascinating of all wild birds and they sure love their feeders. We have had a couple look into our windows, but since there was still that sweet nectar in their feeders, I doubt they were looking to scold us. I liked how well your poem was written and also that it told a charming story about the consequences for not having that hummer kool aid ready when the birds wanted it. Carl.
C R - I have a humming bird that frequents the flowers beneath my bedroom window. He peaks in my bedroom window frequently, just to say hello. Our connection is immensely satisfying for both of us, he makes me feel like a flower as well. Wonderful writing. Cheryl
that demanding understanding little hummer is the symbol of the sweet relations between two loving hearts... good use of metaphor...well done, Richard...10/10
This reminds me of my mother. She had a bird feeder outside her kitchen window. She was certain she had a relationship with some of the birds. Who am I to doubt her. It is a nice poem. Thanks for sharing and thanks for your kind comments about my poems.
i love hummingbirds we have them here in colorado, but i have never seen any. this was a great piece of poetry.
