Thank you so much for sharing dear Kavita ji.......Top score 10 + To my favourite
Upanishads are my most favourite literature that brims with spirituality. Any poem from it spells profound wisdom. These are not ordinary flowers but spiritual flowers of great beauty.
A bouquet of words so beautifully presented through this poem, dear Savita ji. Heartiest Congratulations for the poem of the day. Most deserving.
Thank you so much dear Geeta for reading and for your loving comment.
Excellent poem and poet's notes, Savita. Heartiest congratulations for having it selected as member poem of the day!
Congratulations for having this poem chosen as Poem Of The Day. Liked the Poet's Notes about the poem.
A poem of great depth. Very perceptive write with stunning images and wonderful poetic expressions.
THREE: And, as for 'beauty', there's an old saying: 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' i.e. not all people 'see' beauty equally. I'm sorry if I've not made myself clear. bri ;) I enjoyed the poem though I may debate some of what it says. ;) bri
TWO: I just looked up the definition of 'fragrance' and all 3 definitions refer to 'pleasant'. To me, NOT all flowers or words are 'pleasant'.
ONE: 'Words are like flowers. Each one gives its own fragrance, And imparts its own beauty.' I like that, ....BUT...
Thank you so much Bri for reading and writing so many comments. The poem got your attention that is more than anything I could say.
'by and large': 'in general; overall' I disagree with George; well, he WAS a comedian! 'George Denis Patrick Carlin (May 12,1937 - June 22,2008) was an American comedian, actor, author, and social critic.'
A good linguist knows How to tie the words of different Color, depth and fragrances Into a vivid bouquet of language....there is no shadow of doubts in this bit of expression! Many congratulations for this excellent poem being displayed on the homepage as Poem of the Day!
Congratulations, Savita. This marvellous poem is selected as POEM OF THE DAY -MEMBERS today. Most deserving recognition. All the best Savita
This is exactly what Tagore meant when he said, "That words have meaning is just the difficulty. That is why poet has to twist and turn them in meter and verse so that meaning is contained to some extent and emotions are allowed a free flow.'
Thank you so much Unnikrishnan Sivasankara for your thoughtful comment. It is an honor to be recognized by PH and even more so by appreciative readers.
One can just admire the bouquet Or one can look at each flower. Admiring this bouquet and the shloka that precede.
Revisiting....each word of this wonderful poem embraces the title with utter justification. May I cite, 'Or contain the rainbow of colors To invoke our utmost sensual Pleasure and admiration'. Amazing ink!
Words are like flowers! However, it's the tongue that controls the language! A great poem! !
Words are like flowers. Each one gives its own fragrance, And imparts its own beauty.---Marvelous poem! A great tribute to WORDS with a bouquet of words.
words can be 'good' or 'bad' & can make one 'happy' or 'sad'. NOT all flowers are (for me) pleasant, as it is with some people. : )
yes! ! ! our tools are our words--they give wings to our thoughts and the rainbow of colors to give them depth---lovely poem... deserving a waterfall of stars and a fav
