Upanishads are my most favourite literature that brims with spirituality. Any poem from it spells profound wisdom. These are not ordinary flowers but spiritual flowers of great beauty.

THREE: And, as for 'beauty', there's an old saying: 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' i.e. not all people 'see' beauty equally. I'm sorry if I've not made myself clear. bri ;) I enjoyed the poem though I may debate some of what it says. ;) bri

TWO: I just looked up the definition of 'fragrance' and all 3 definitions refer to 'pleasant'. To me, NOT all flowers or words are 'pleasant'.

ONE: 'Words are like flowers. Each one gives its own fragrance, And imparts its own beauty.' I like that, ....BUT...

'by and large': 'in general; overall' I disagree with George; well, he WAS a comedian! 'George Denis Patrick Carlin (May 12,1937 - June 22,2008) was an American comedian, actor, author, and social critic.'

This is exactly what Tagore meant when he said, "That words have meaning is just the difficulty. That is why poet has to twist and turn them in meter and verse so that meaning is contained to some extent and emotions are allowed a free flow.'

Revisiting....each word of this wonderful poem embraces the title with utter justification. May I cite, 'Or contain the rainbow of colors To invoke our utmost sensual Pleasure and admiration'. Amazing ink!

Words are like flowers! However, it's the tongue that controls the language! A great poem! !

words can be 'good' or 'bad' & can make one 'happy' or 'sad'. NOT all flowers are (for me) pleasant, as it is with some people. : )
