St.George the patron saint of England has protected the land and captivated my imagination.

So that's why we never see dragons anymore! breast plated knights with their unwritten law to oust the fiery beasties that carried off our bains but to see a fiery dragon, oh! how my heart yearns!

I always think there's something rather special about the word 'bold'. Your poem takes the reader back in time, to days of chivalry and clunking armor and the passion and drama of hand to hand combat. A fine addition to your imaginative collection David. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Ah, David - this one is right up my alley! I love all the knight/dragon tales, being a die-hard fan of all the King Arthur legends. This is superbly written, wonderful imagery throughout - reminded me of a scene from the movie 'The Dragon Slayer' - (or was it from 'Merlin'?) Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this one - thank you! Linda :)
