Carrying two souls from all distractions

Beautiful poem, Valsa, Booking over waves, they quietly watched The cobalt sky hugging the mountains far Hills looming large, with clumps of trees And theirfoliage swaying in summer breeze. Thank you for sharing

It has been three months since I last visited Poemhunter; apparently, there is no longer an option to rate poems; anyway, this poem deserves a 10.

This vividly descriptive poem brings in mind the clarity of a painting, the idyllic magic of Victorian era, that contemplative disposition which only the tranquility of Nature can bring! Stunning!

The starting stanza is a perfect introduction of the poem. Some of my appreciations of the thoughts and expressions I liked, have already been spelt out by Jayatissa K.Liyanage in his comment. The third, fourth and the last two stanzas are marvelous! 'A flower suddenly blooming in the wild Drifting them to a world sans all fences! ' - these two lines give a perfect finishing to this beautiful poem.10/10

Two. The poem reminded me of my some of my own boat rides, but not so serene, romantic and beautiful as described in the poem. Many lines, nay stanzas are quotable, but I particularly liked: (Please see the third part of my comment) .

One. Be it written from real life experience, be it pure imagination, I appreciate the poetess's real as well as inner eyes which can see such beautiful scenes, and of course her free flowing quill which can describe the scenes so poetically. A great work, Valsa!

The small boat made its lonesome way Carrying two souls from all distractions... Life is a boat ride in the ocean of the cosmos. A soul keeps floating in the vastness of beauty. Beautiful poem.

Beauty of nature is always there in a romantic trip, may be on the hills, in the river or at the bank of a sea. The romance of life so nicely penned by Valsa George.
