Beautiful, vivid, varying imagery! Wonderfully done. The incredible sights and feelings that come with an innocent, enchanting blue jay.
Pretty. In spirit, it reminds me of the purpose behind a Japanese haiku - to capture a moment in time and exalt it. You've done this with your lovely poem, and I'll be reminded of your poem next time I spy a blue jay.
The character needs to remove the window, or get outside, or have someone help her/him get outside. As beautiful as the bird is, it is separated from the viewer. Obviously the bird doesn't understand why, on such a lovely day, one would be inside.
When I read this poem it was like a little girl that wasn't me was reading it to me :) it just feels so soft in depth and texture, and so deep in meaning. Great job :)
Very lovely and lively poem, and very nice writing technique. I enjoyed reading it while imagining the description of the poem, right before my eyes. ~Besa
Your visions of the Blue Jay are very colorful and vivid against the background of the rhododendron.
love of nature is always with no matter where i go. very nice for you
A delicately, sweet look at the beauties of our nature. So deserving of being poem of the day, or any day. Joe
A beautiful poem - clearly you are a bird lover, as I am myself.
I just adore Bluejays. Thank you for a wonderful tribute poem..I could just see the Jays intelligent eyes in your words..they are an amazing bird aren't they?
This is beautiful. I love the picture you have presented to us.
The Blue Jay flutters through the lines of your poem. You captured the moment beautifully, if not the bird.10.
What a lovely, happy, private moment poem. I liked the line: Upon its wings is painted days of sapphires. Read mine – Blue Bird – Adeline
