A Blind Date In Eden Poem by Phil Ward

A Blind Date In Eden

Rating: 5.0

Oh God why did you put me here,
What on earth did you have in mind?
Uncut grass and old fruit trees,
There's nothing else to find.

Not even a seat to sit on,
Just a fig leaf to my name,
What are you expecting from me?
It's not funny I hold you to blame.

This is a boring place to be,
No WIFI, bath or tele,
No corner shop or fast food joint,
To satisfy my belly.

But wait a sec who's that I see?
There's someone else what a relief,
Hey, hey she's looking back at me,
I think I need a larger leaf.

Forget about what I just said,
We're dining out tonight,
There's apple on the menu,
Then fig Angel Delight!
