A Bizarre Dream! Poem by Mohammad Younus

A Bizarre Dream!

A bizarre dream!
To come out in a starry night,
To touch the moon;
You will fall to the ground on the thorns,
Like a wolf who on full Moon night,
Jumps to kiss the moon.

The eccentric Sufis and Sadhus weave the tales,
For the halfwit to believe that they...
Touch the sun and kiss the moon;
If you go on the chariot of your eyes,
To touch the sun and kiss the moon,
Your chariot shall return tired and fatigued.

Order, order.
You will fail in your attemps,
If you walk in boots or barefoot,
To meet the God of truth;
Wherever you'll turn to you'll find,
His face there.
You must stand before the True God,
As a student stands in honour,
Before the grand master.

The ugly untruth of seeing God,
On physical appearance will implode!
