A Bizarre Addiction (Sonnet #142) Poem by Tina Baaklini

A Bizarre Addiction (Sonnet #142)

I'm afflicted with a bizarre addiction
A substance pure as snow, yet warm not cold,
In your heart I found my predilection
In your heart I found that great love of gold.

Ah sweet affliction when it rests upon love
A dark hell I see without your love of me
For our love we so much fought and strove
Love is worth it when hearts are tied endlessly.

I see your sweet eyes glowing as the sun
Mighty is your soul, beauty is your heart
With each heartbeat my heart says you're the one
To whom I belong, one we were at the start.

Be it an addiction or just a cure,
More love, more mercy the world needs for sure.
