A bitter mistake
Of two darkened souls.
A temptation they couldn't resist...
Leaving them both heartbroken,
Full of regret and pain.
Leaving her with the thought
Of no friends at school,
The stupid voices in her head and all around her school
Calling her cruel names..
The thought of being a mother
At only 18...
And why she made such a stupid mistake.
Leaving him wondering
If he can still get into college,
The thought of being a father
At only 18...
And why he made such a stupid mistake.
They know they shouldn't kill the child,
But what are they supposed to do?
They meet a couple who can't have kids
And suddenly, God gives a miracle...
The miracle of a new life
And the miracle of
How He can use our mistakes
And turn the heartbreak they cause
Into beautiful pieces all fit together
For His grander plan.
yes...I read your poem, and tried to comment on it, but the computer was being so flipping stupid. I loved your poem by the way. Oh, and I wrote this becauase of the book, To Save A Life...you should read it if you get the chance :)
Ah Hannah: How many young souls have learned that bitter lesson. You said it so well. Yet will it prevent others from making that same bitter mistake? Sadly not likely. I invite you to read my Bloom Of Youth. Adeline

This poem is incredible, it prefectly depicts the sadness and regret involved in an abortion. 'How He can use our mistakes And turn the heartbreak they cause' I especially loved this part, even when we sin and make 'mistakes' we are still employed by God for His better will.
