In the best of modern poetry tradition, it is an energy construct, which is to say, it excites poems in the reader. I have tried 3 times to read it and every time my mind interrupts me with images that have been rattling around in my head for years trying to be written. Finally on 4th try i finished it. What a little beauty!

This abstract sensation conveys a perception, not only of a plant but also of the stem, leaves, habitat with simultaneous olfactory. Meaningful arrangement of sense and smell mix-ed up with ideas feelings and thoughts. Kind regards Aine

I love this poem Ben and congratulate you on its on line publication. Everything that has ever sprung out of the imagination of one of our fellow human specimens was preceded by a blank canvas and the desired to imprint with the spirit of creation.

Ben, the blank canvas analogy is well used here; you've kept the starkness in a spare use of words... Rgds, Ivan
