A recent book (Botany of Desire) on plants suggests that by making themselves useful to human beings certain plants have developed a great strategy for ensuring their own survival. Certainly bees fit nicely into this category as well. To bee sweet in this sense though is certainly not Love or indeed service, just a variation on survival of the fittest! Ha! I like the poem though.
