A well thought-out piece. Beautiful rendition of words to utmost justice. A heartwarming poem Daniel. Thanks for sharing.

I wrote this poem so the beauty of the day and the beauty of language could be shared. Thanks much for your delight.

Alright, Daniel. So I started reading your work, and I picked this one first because the title (and some of the ideas as it turned out) reminded me of my recent poem, Semi-retired in Early Spring. In your poem I relate to and like the recgnition of how the natural world can lift and restore us- a theme I return to again and again in my work. In its feeling I'm reminded of a Wordsworth sonnet, Upon Westminster Bridge (?) . On the effects of light you mention, I think of poem, Just 15th Street. On to another poem, Glen
