A Beautiful Heart (Sonnet #269) Poem by Tina Baaklini

A Beautiful Heart (Sonnet #269)

Beauty built its kingdom in your tender heart,
And beauty is all I see by your side,
Beautiful hearts are not a piece of art,
They shine love across the world as sunlight.

And your heart and its kingdom became mine
For in the alchemy of true love hearts merge
As crushed grapes ferment, and blossom to wine.
All the tenderness of my heart you deserve.

And your deeds and words are wrapped in beauty,
As breeze they embrace my heart with tenderness.
When you whisper 'I love you' so softly
You touch my soul, as echoes, as ripples.

And when I look in your sweet eyes, I see me
Adorned with a flowery wreath—all in beauty.
