The banana tree is all knowing, observes and metes out wisdom. A great poem, succinct and awash with wisdom.

I like the title “A Banana Tree” but the poem seems like you are talking to someone specifically and does not read much like a poem (perhaps I’m expanding without knowing) . The title is original.

Self-control for sure, but I like Dylan Thomas's verse: Don't go gentle into that good night... but of course, this is another story**

A very intimate picture of what is commonly happening in places where elephants roam around farms. Vividly and emotionally-packed lines lamenting the destruction of the beneficial banana tree.

The poet asks to take some attention and take pain in understanding the meaning of the words that come in the poem I think. The poem is very beautifully told the idea in simple words and adjectives I think and also I like it as such.
