A Balm For The Heart (Sonnet #277) Poem by Tina Baaklini

A Balm For The Heart (Sonnet #277)

Where would I be without your love to me?
Without you how would I have survived this storm?
I wouldn't dare to foresee such misery,
By my side you've been, never was I alone.

Divine love is the cure, a balm for the heart,
Through darkness you carried a torch with love,
Soulmates' bond is like a tapestry of art
Made with love, two halves of hearts that strove.

Now that our ship is anchored on its shore,
Blessed I feel that your heart never let me go,
Your tenderness abounds forevermore,
Between us divine love endlessly flows.

Love is like wings of an eagle in the sky,
Strong they must be for it to fly high.
