A Ballad on Beverley McLachlin, the ex-Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

According to Wikipedia, a ballad consists of 13 lines and is a narrative which can be sung. It has an ABABBCBC form consisting of rhymed verses or couplets, each of 14 syllables. I managed to get all of it but could not keep up the required number of syllables. But in my defence, the poet whose work has been used as an example in Wikipedia had only 10 syllables.
I would also like to say that on World Freedom of Press Day, which is today, I referred to a feature in The Globe and Mail published on Jan 13th,2018 by Fred Lum.
