The trials of the road are not unlike the trials of life that can torture a soul if they are very heavy and can weigh on the mind and create a great deal of mental anguish. All is laid out well in this poem. Thank you for sharing it.
Thirst man knows the pain of thirst really and feels that he will die soon and water is needed for him immediately. Beside the road such a man travels and while does not get water feels so sad. This poem is entirely wisely composed and thought provoking. Amazing poem shared....10
Your poem made me think only briefly of Frost, then I felt the pain and endurance of bearing the long straight road lacking choices. Your imagery was effective in conveying the scene as well as the theme. The final stanza pulled in the hope... In looking up to the sky and being still to the goal. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
