Our 'forefathers' were Deists at best and wanted fervently to keep religion out of government. Our response to 9/11 was a shameful invasion and occupation of an innocent country, killing at least 100,00 civilians. We continue to kill at a rate of 90%+ civilians in our 'holy war'. War is never the answer. Glorifying soldiers only stokes the fire of ignorance and violence.
