-I was not in the minds and 'hearts' of the police involved. Life sucks at times and racism is only one one causes.

My main exposure to racism was from TV news. Too bad God did not think kindly enough about humans to make us all black, or yellow or green or purple or...white.

I am a 'white' human male. I was raised in central New York State with few 'blacks' in my small dity, though maybe five % of my high school class were not white.

after videos made by witnesses and security cameras became public, all four officers were fired.[23] Two autopsies, and one autopsy review, found Floyd's death to be a homicide.[

Thought provoking I must say. Eight minutes forty six seconds my death turned to a campaign rally. The poem just seems to capture everything. Great work Uche

The reactions from both white and people of all colors against this brutality is a pointer for a positive change that is coming to the world. ; Eight Minutes and forty seconds; , I can not breathe - the last words of Floyd have become a sort of slogan against racism and it has its repercussions in the whole world.

Eight minutes forty six seconds, suddenly the world realises black lives matter.- - - - It sums up the agonies and angsts of black people who are discriminated against because of the color of their skin. The death of George Floyd at the hand of a brute police officer has exposed the flaws of a world plagued by racial divide.

Eight minutes forty six seconds, no one to respond to my call for help. Eight minutes forty six seconds, is all it took for my American dream to die. Eight minutes forty six seconds, all it took to see Minneapolis no more. Eight minutes forty six seconds, my forty six years on earth grind to a halt. Eight minutes forty six seconds, I couldn't say goodbye to my two kids.

The redundancy of the lines stresses the focal point of this tragic poem - racism. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on POD. : -)

Only eight minutes and forty seconds they needed to tell the universe that they have the choice to be wicked, cruel, racists, evil, egoistic, apartheid, discriminatory, oppressive, suppressive and non-compromising. Very much touching poem indeed. Thanks for sharing.
