A long-time fan of Bukowski, I first read this poem many, many years ago. I only thought of it today because I inadvertently wrote the sentence just thought I'd let you know, in a letter to a friend. It was to find 8 Count in it's entirety here.

Looks like writer's block. While he spent the full 8 couint on the canvas many times, the body of his work gives the rest of us inspiration to keep punching.
