Seventy-eight years sped off fast
Since India turned afree!
Colonial rule is thing of past,
Bharat's, a mammoth tree!
Our country has rich heritage;
'Tis led by leaders great;
The land has minds and hearts like sage;
Corruption, we all hate!
The freedom struggle fought was long;
Many had shed their blood;
Our national anthem's, world's best song,
Soil, water, air - sacred!
Now Indians are a mighty force;
A super power is born;
The nation marches right on course;
Today's a glorious morn!
We fight the rot - terrorism;
None dare divide Indians;
Our shield is patriotism;
All foes, we can well trounce.
Human resource - a wealth priceless;
Our unity is strength;
We forge ahead in spheres fearless;
Love spans our nation's length.
Mahatma's beacon beckons all;
Our GDP is sound;
We rush to help when neighbors call;
India is holy ground!
Par excellence, our soldiers stay;
We made forays in Space;
Defence is reinforced today;
We wear a happy face.
Though Nature's furies cause us loss,
All Indians share same pride;
Our friend in strife is God, the Boss;
Life's stormy waves, we ride.
More Kargils well may come and go;
We win our wars galore;
Self-reliance is magic hoe;
The world is dumbfound more!
We make our own submarines, planes;
Our rockets reach moon, mars;
Peace-lovers, we have lesser banes;
With prudence, we win wars.
In Covid pandemic unscathed,
We'll bring down mighty drones;
The Indian's face is splendor bathed,
We have gold, precious stones.
By sweat from foreheads, farmers toil,
And raise the crops all years;
The Indian's mind, no foe can foil;
Our wisdom makes us seers!
We'll conquer peaks, valleys and tides;
Diversity prevails;
All Indian hearts in God abides,
With friendship, our ship sails!
Our sense of duty stays foremost;
With neighbors, we want peace;
The Olympics too, we will host;
Progress just comes with ease.
Justice and safety are things prime;
All lives matter on earth;
Democracy, strengthens with time;
Harmony is no dearth!
With joy in hearts, we celebrate;
Another I-Day great;
Our problems will all soon abate;
No humans, can we hate!
Now ‘Viksit Bharat', is sole aim;
We stay, the way we are;
Through sheer labor, we earn our fame;
More success is not far!
