768. Fair Weather Love Poem by Jaden Knight

768. Fair Weather Love

Do you only say you love me
as my personal sun is shining
its rays falling gently on your face
bathing you in its light
warming you with its brilliance

Would you still love me when it is raining
and the clouds dominate the horizon
the cold water soaking everyone to the skin
with not a towel or umbrella in sight

Are you still true when the snow is tumbling
and huge drifts cover everything in sight
will you be the one to start the thaw
or at least help me with a shovel

Would you still be here when the storms are raging
and lightning flashes across my skies
will you flee when the thunder crashes
or would you seek to get closer

Can you be with me through all weathers
even in the stormiest conditions
are you one who truly loves me
or just when the weather is fair
