761. My Heart's Carnations Poem by Jaden Knight

761. My Heart's Carnations

Rating: 5.0

My heart dwells in a field of carnations
beneath the lilac clouded skies
moving the stems with every beat
as if they are being blown by a wind

In the gently swaying sea of purple blooms
my thoughts lie hidden beneath the leaves
feeding and nourishing the roots
inaccessible to anyone but me

Every petal is precious
but I offer you this special flower
a sign of lasting friendship
that I hope will never die
