729. Esha Poem by Jaden Knight

729. Esha

Esha was almost happy that it was raining
as it disguised her falling tears
racing the raindrops down her face
landing on her already saturated blue t shirt and jeans

Her 5 foot 2 frame shakes with sobs
as people run past her without stopping
each lost in their own little world
leaving her all alone in the deluge

A car drives past playing loud music
as youth shouted abuse out of the window
his words sting her face almost as much as the wind
blowing her dark hair around her face

A ray of light shines down from the clouds
as kindly words are spoken that only she can hear in her mind
the rain seems to disappear by magic
a small smile starts to spread across her face
as the sun comes out to greet her new mood
