Melvina, discrimination come in many forms and all of them wrong. If we could only live in a world where everyone was equal in everyone's eyes. Nice thought, but hard to realise it ever happening only amongst the poets. A very powerful statement you have written and I for one agree with your sentiment entirely. Thanks for sharing it. David
I read this yesterday and rated you but did not leave a comment! I am now! What a most powerful piece, and full of deep expression...and i might add i am in total agreement! Brillant, theo
yes discrimination of age also. i'm trying to find me a part time job, i'm on S.S. and no one seems to want to hire me. so i can relate to this great piece you wrote here.
It`s not just white and black, it`s fat and thin any difference at all, discrimination begins, thats the darkest sin... Melvina
Great poem Melvina, wonderfully said........................All the best, Diane
Top of the line message and marks from me...Ten out of 10 easily! You put the exact images of prejudice and then of peace in my mind when you pulled it together with the mention of one of the greatest men that walked the earth...The King...Martin Luther King that is... Discrimaination is such a problem still whether we admit it or not.Sometimes people don't really throw the rocks but you can see in their eyes that they want too...which is just as bad. Thank you for sharing Melvina...awsome job! Hope all is well. =Shelley=
I can't imagine being hated for nothing; can't imagine that kind of hurt and damage. Your exhoration at poem's conclusion rings loud and strong, Melvina. A great poem. Esther xxxxx
