Virus Haiku
How quiet the streets
How loud the TV blaring
I prefer the silence
Rudderless
We turn for guidance
From leaders self centered and vain
We're here on our own
Social Gathering
Posies on a mat
My friend remains inside
I ring and turn tail
Look Mommy
Teddy bears in windows
Children's faces light with joy
The great bear hunt starts
From my porch
I wave to neighbors
As they stroll in the sunshine
Greetings help us cope
Shopping
Armed with rubber gloves
I thank busy store cashiers
for their bravery
Sorrow
The weeping cherry
with pale lavender blossoms
reflects my feelings
