Would you be annoyed if I gave you hug? ?
or would you accept it with open arms
even though the distance is too great
for me to reach out and physically touch you
I want to give you a hug

Would you roll your eyes if I told you I cared
as if I was lying about it to you
the fact we are not related means nothing to me
every time I mean what I say

Would you laugh out loud if I told you to stay safe
and think I am controlling your life
I cannot physically be there to look out for you
even though it is one thing is wish I could do

I don't have any secret motives
other than I want to be a caring friend
I wish for you joy and happiness
the very best that fate could send
