The page has turned for a new chapter
one that doesn't feature you at all
only me on a voyage of discovery
already anticipating a great adventure

Have done all I can but I must depart
it's not my place to be here
my destination lies far away
and it's time to start my journey

you were never meant to be my destiny
that was nothing more than a fool's hope
your actions destroyed what could have been
leaving only a scorched wreck

I stayed far too long by the ruins
I should have left it years ago
a new chapter has started and I can't stay
if you ever loved me you will let me go
