The anaesthetic of innocence has long since worn off
only to be replaced by the agony of guilt
constantly stabbing at the back of the mind
refusing to ever fade away
The levels can vary depending on the person
as their own actions can increase the pain
some are mentally screaming
while others only have mild discomfort
Even if it can't be seen easily
it can leave huge scars
some of which will never heal
making it harder for the victims to think
In the end most wish to go back to the beginning
in the hope that they can remove their guilt
wishing to escape to the time
before the anaesthetic of their innocence wore off
